Chapelle Cocteau in Fréjus

The last chapel designed by Jean Cocteau.

By the end of the 1950s, a banker from Nice wanted to create a village of artists at the Tour de Mare in Fréjus. The project took too much time and was never realised. However, Jean Cocteau drew the Notre-Dame-de-Jérusalem chapel, dedicated to the knights of the Holy Sepulchre. Here, you can admire mosaics, chalk frescos and most of all splendid stained-glass windows.
