Nice has always attracted artists and has kept a real taste for art.
Nice is a beautiful baroque town with an Italian charm. It has always attracted artists. One of them is Chagall, to whom the town has dedicated a beautiful museum, after the donation of his 17 paintings about the Biblical Message. This museum, designed by a collaborator of architect Le Corbusier upon Chagall’s request, shows sober lines that highlight the painter’s work. The Musée d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain is another centre of art in Nice. This impressive grey marble building houses works of Yves Klein, Niki de St Phalle and Andy Warhol.
