45 years of art of living

45 years ago, Gérard Biancone created Holiday Green, a “Caravan” of 740 sites on 15 ha of pine forest north of Fréjus. A crazy bet since it is offset from the seaside, a coherent bet since the sea is not enough, a successful bet since it is nature that wins.

1980, FIRST SEASON In his first season, the Fréjussian entrepreneur will discover the world of "camping" and receive his first thousands of vacationers. The Toyota 4X4 comes and goes, trying to “stall” everyone, but the locations are lacking and some customers will spend their holidays in the parking lot,…. happy and satisfied since they will come back the following year! The roads are then on the ground, and it is with large jets of water that the staff is forced to contain the dust created by the wind and vehicle traffic. And the weekend is devoted to games of Dantesque pétanque!

 

AN "OUTSIZED" SWIMMING POOL" The construction, from the start, of our famous Californian swimming pool of 1000m² allowed the estate to quickly build up around this nerve center. In addition, some colleagues cross France to discover the filtration system of the largest swimming pool on a campsite in Europe at that time. Over time, the confreres from all regions will have taken the lead and developed aquatic spaces that are larger and larger, more and more complex.

At Holiday Green, we made the choice of space. In the large 1000m² swimming pool, there is a paddling pool, an indoor swimming pool with slide and spa area, but the philosophy has not changed: The famous Holiday Green swimming pool and its lines from the 80s remain the signature of the estate. Priority to swimming, with a raised and heated pool allowing you to have a foothold on 100% of the surface.

 

A PIONEER IN HOSTING The area is, from the outset, fragmented into neighborhoods and we can quickly count some 500 mobile homes, properties of the campsite but also of individuals and English tour operators who immediately understood the challenges of this new tourist complex. Today, 600 mobile homes (for 20 camping pitches) have taken place on the site, forever giving it its status as a 5-star outdoor hotel.

 

THE NEW GENERATION 20 years later, Pascale Biancone, the eldest of 5 children, takes control of the estate and brings her touch. Passed by the Bar, accounting, stewardship & Reception, Pascale will take over the management of the estate and launch major works.

The domain is being revamped, little by little, until the years 2014-2015 when the expansion of the aquatic area will initiate a new signature: driftwood, “new design” shops, new services such as the crèche for the little ones or the Spa are novelties which will bring to the domain the "Resort" touch of a "high-end" tourist complex

 

THE ART OF WELL-BEING IN FULL NATURE Today, Holiday Green is anchored in a double will and wants to defend its values: the quality of service and customer relations. It involves the art of entertaining yourself, serving you, having fun, seducing you, making your experience unforgettable.

Proof of this is the creation in 2022 of a brand new water park and a beach volleyball court enriching the range of equipment offered and in 2023 the creation of a brand new Kids Club on two air-conditioned floors in order to provide your children the comfort they deserve.

For 45 years, the Holiday Green teams have received this message: to offer you rays of sunshine in their daily smile because, our only happiness lies in your satisfaction.
