Port-Cros can be reached all year round by boat from the ports of Hyères and Le Lavandou. In the summer, crossings are also offered from Toulon, Sainte-Maxime or Saint-Raphaël, a few kilometers from the Holiday-Green campsite. On the spot, the motor vehicles are proscribed. Protected nature reserve, Port-Cros is a forested island with steep terrain, covered by about thirty kilometers of hiking trails. In the 17th century, Richelieu built defensive fortifications to protect the island from pirates. It now retains an important built heritage: the Fort Vigie, the forts of Portman, Estissac and the Mill, or the Tower of Eminence. Themed itineraries invite you to discover more particularly the Mediterranean flora, the landscapes of ridges, or the endemic fauna of the island.
