The beaches of Saint Raphaël
The town of Saint Raphaël offers more than 30 kilometres of beaches.
Very extensive, the town of Saint Raphael has 36 kilometers of coast with various charms. The shoreline alternates between beaches of fine sand and pebble beaches, coves and rocky coves or strikes sheltered trees of the Côte d'Azur. The 29 beaches that count St. Raphael on its coast offer landscapes and places of relaxation of the most varied. In the city center, the sandy beach of Veillat is ideal for families: supervised and reserved for bathers, it is equipped with bathrooms and lined with shops. Accessible to strollers, it also has a ramp PMR. Lovers of idyllic landscapes, tranquility and wild nature will look forward to the hidden beaches in the creeks: the pebble beach of the bay of Baumette near Agay, the exotic cove of Maubois or the calanque Saint-Barthélemy nestle in the setting of red rocks so typical of Saint Raphael. The red pebble beach of the Fournas creek, whose access requires a little effort, ensures calm and tranquility. Small beaches of charm are also very easily accessible to families with small children or the elderly: this is the case, for example, the beach of Aiguebonne. For a very original enchanting setting, family access and fine sand, go to the cove of Anthéor. The passage of trains on the viaduct that dominates the beach adds a touch of unique charm to the site.
