Markets of Fréjus
Traditional markets
Throughout the year, eight traditional markets are held throughout the year in Fréjus. Rendez-vous on Sunday mornings from 8:30 to 12:30 in Fréjus-plage on the Place de la République, the Boulevard d'Alger, and the Boulevard de la Libération for the largest weekly market. On Tuesdays and Fridays, the Fréjus-plage market only occupies the Place de la République. On the same days, the merchants also met in Saint-Aygulf. Three other traditional markets are held on Thursdays at the arenas, Port-Fréjus and Tour de Mare respectively.
The Provençal market
In the picturesque and charming setting of the heart of the city of Fréjus, the Provençal market on Wednesdays and Saturdays mornings brings together all the colours of Provence on lively and gourmet stalls: seasonal fruit and vegetables, herbs from Provence, seafood, local oils and wines, as well as local handicraft stands.
Farmers' market
A group of local producers, the Vallée Rose farmers' market opens its stalls every morning from Tuesday to Saturday, as well as on Friday afternoons. Located on Route Départementale 37, it is easily accessible for your desires of fresh produce and local produce. You will find meat and fish, fruits and vegetables, but also eggs, olive oil, organic bread and cold cuts.
The night markets of Fréjus
In summer, Fréjus' night markets are popular for their atmosphere, but also for the number and variety of stalls. From July 1st to August 31st, the first stands of the night market are set up in Port-Fréjus from 7pm. In the continuity of the night market of Port-Fréjus, that of Fréjus-Plage extends along the waterfront to Saint-Raphaël. Artists and craftsmen, jewellery, curiosities, demonstrations, local specialities are to be discovered between the animated terraces of the bars and restaurant.
